The Golden Rule of Classroom Management

Fun ClassroomSchool must be fun. Even if you’re not a neuroscientist, you can probably deduce from your own experiences that people are more receptive and open to learning new concepts when they’re having fun. When one is having “fun” they are typically positive and engaged, which intuitively lend themselves to more meaningful learning. I’m not a neuroscientist either, but from the dabbling that I’ve done in epistemology, I do know that this is actually a physiological principle. When you’re in a great mood, your brain actually functions differently – physically (what portions of the brain are active), hormonally, and chemically.
